I have had dizzy spells since December of 2006. It was severe at the onset and was diagnosed as Bilateral Proximal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) by an ENT. I received 18 treatments (Epley Maneuvers) without much relief. The dizziness continued. I was examined and treated by a traditional chiropractor in August 2007. He did adjustments and acupuncture. After 5 sessions he said he couldn’t help me with the dizzy spells.

In December 2007, I was examined for a study on BPPV at University Hospital and was told I didn’t have vertigo! Hearing tests indicated that, probably due to an infection, the balance area of my left ear had been damaged and was 100% ineffective. I continued to have dizziness, not as extreme, but constant, daily episodes.

After about three weeks of treatment began for sciatic pain, I am no longer experiencing dizziness – something I had accepted as a permanent condition. My hip and back pain is much better and I am sure that the cause will be corrected.
